About the artist:

Jamila Clarke is fine art portrait and conceptual photographer with a background in theater and cinema. She was first introduced to film photography at age eleven when her father gave her his old Minolta. It promptly broke, but did not deter her curiosity. At Oberlin College she studied color and B&W film photography and processing and got her hands on a medium format camera or two. However, it wasn’t until her first DSLR that she found the perfect medium to bring her ideas to life.

In her arsenal:

Pentax K2 II

Tamaron 18-55mm lens

Pentax-DA 35mm F2.4 AL fixed lens

2 – LumoPro L160 Speedlites

Mac loaded with Photoshop (and other CS goodness)

Closet full of costumes, wigs and makeup (oh yeah!)
